A: The National Series has been developed to try and make the Points championship (the Silver Top) more open and fairer to drivers. 35 meetings a year are designated as National Series meetings. Only points scored from these meetings are counted towards the National Series Championship, where the winner has the Silver Roof for the following year. However, per driver, only their best 30 will count to the final figures, so a driver can afford to have a poor meeting or two! You will notice that every meeting after the World Final is designated a "NS" meeting to try and maintain good car numbers at meetings. Q: What is the Champions League Grade Award? A: This is a new series planned for 2005 to run alongside the National Series. Deliberately targeted at all grades and all drivers, the Champions League Grade Award (CLGA) Series will be run over a nine race series starting at Sheffield on the 27th March 2005 with the Finale planned for Sheffield on the 13th November. Additional prize money sponsored by BriSCA F1 promoters will be split across white, yellow, blue and star grade drivers with each CLGA meeting offering driver bonuses, and the leading six points scorers in each grade also receiving end of season awards. These top twenty four drivers will be invited to compete in the CLGA Finale at Sheffield. |
